Style 5507

Inorganic fibers with an EPDM binder

Benefits

Tighter seal

  • Inorganic fiber gasketing offers excellent thermal stability with minimal weight loss
  • Reduced creep relaxation and improved torque retention provide optimal sealability

Temperature resistant

  • Non-oxidizing fibers withstand a continuous operating temperature of up to 550°F (290°C), and maximum spike of 800°F (425°C)

Media

  • Water
  • Saturated steam*
  • Mild chemicals
  • Mild alkalies

*Minimum recommended assembly stress = 4,800psi.  Preferred assembly stress = 6,000-10,000psi.  Gasket thickness of 1/16″ strongly preferred.  Retorque the bolts/studs prior to pressurizing the assembly.  For saturated steam above 150psig or superheated steam, consult Hanna Rubber Company.
